GWAS Summary Results: Survival (2019)

This results file provides summary survival association statistics for the analyses described Escala-Garcia et al (Br J Cancer, 2019). Summary survival association statistics for overall, ER-positive and ER-negative breast cancer are provided. The results file includes results for the OncoArray and iCOGS datasets, and the combined results from eleven additional GWAS. The summary results are based on imputation to the 1000 Genomes Project Phase 3 reference panel. The current results are for women of European ancestry only.

The breast cancer genome-wide association analyses were supported by the Government of Canada through Genome Canada and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the ‘Ministère de l’Économie, de la Science et de l’Innovation du Québec’ through Genome Québec and grant PSR-SIIRI-701, The National Institutes of Health (U19 CA148065, X01HG007492), Cancer Research UK (C1287/A10118, C1287/A16563, C1287/A10710) and The European Union (HEALTH-F2-2009-223175 and H2020 633784 and 634935). All studies and funders are listed in Michailidou et al (Nature, 2017).

Disclaimer Use of Survival Estimates

The summary estimates for the association between germline variants and survival are based on iCOGS BCAC and GWAS data as published in: Escala-Garcia M and Schmidt MK et al Br J Cancer 2019 (PMCID: 30787463). Please refer to this paper when using these survival summary results. The estimates were based on follow-up data available at the time of the analyses (BCAC version 8) and on imputed genotype data using the 1000 Genomes Project data set as a reference. Please realise that the data online are not the most recent and estimates may have changed in analyses using updated follow-up data and/or another reference.
